Imaginative Adventures

Preschoolers love to pretend. By pretending, the preschooler thinks about the attributes and actions of the person or animal she is portraying. She uses props (sometimes invisible ones) to make believe that she is cooking, teaching, riding a horse, or having a tea party. Her brother may be racing a car or taming a lion. In fact, they may switch roles in their imaginative adventures. Girls can tame lions as well as boys - right?
